Goodrob13 Music Show episode 8:

• figuring out the best spot to stand on the train platform,
• my weird experience coming out of the PATH station this morning,
• scaffolding in NYC,
• being more efficient when paying for groceries,
• most people in front of me in line taking 10 times longer than I do,
• bank tellers and post offices,
• most people entering and exiting elevators too slowly,
• unusually warm weather,
• my hatred of obnoxiously loud motorcycles,
• why it’s so important to leave comments on podcasts,
• the importance of online interaction and discussion,
• buying an electric guitar soon,
• and being realistic and reasonable about my music equipment and prices.

Touch Me – live at Madame X, NYC 5/4/09

On Monday, May 4, 2009, I performed “Touch Me (I Want Your Body)” by Samantha Fox at the Lady Jane’s Salon romance book reading, which took place at Madame X in NYC.

On Monday, January 19th, 2009, MGC Productions hosted the star-studded event, Broadway Speaks Out: Live at The Duplex.

Broadway Speaks Out is an online talk show that features Broadway performers speaking out about how their careers have influenced the LGBT community.

The evening featured Anthony Hollock and Allison Guinn (Hair), Brian Charles Rooney (The Three Penny Opera), Hannah Shankman (RENT), Rob DiCaterino (me), Michael Burbach, Elliot Roth (Our Sinatra) and Jenn Lederer, both of whom are in the upcoming production of Midwtwenties:The Show. The concert also had a special guest appearance by internationally known drag performer, Sherry Vine.

Martin Gould Cummings, the artistic director and founder of MGC Productions, hosted the evening. MGC Productions is a fiscally sponsored theater company founded by Martin Gould Cummings and his partner Anthony Hollock. Their goal is to bring the LGBT cause to the forefront through theater, media, and music.

MGC Productions will be producing its first stage production, Midtwenties:The Show, at Manhattan Theatre Source on March 1-3.

Revolution – live at Joe’s Pub, NYC 1/19/09

On Monday, January 19, 2009, Lea DeLaria hosted Bye George! End of an Error, a humorous concert celebrating George W. Bush’s last day in office, at Joe’s Pub in NYC.

For the finale, I performed The Beatles song “Revolution” with Lance Horne on piano, Josh Giunta on drums, and some members of the upcoming Broadway cast of Hair on vocals: Lauren Elder, Allison Guinn, and Anthony Hollock. Stephanie D’Abruzzo and Lea DeLaria joined us on stage to sing during the last few choruses.

Other performers that night included John Cameron Mitchell, Justin Bond, Jessica Kirson, Holcombe Waller, and Michael Urie from the TV show Ugly Betty.

It was a lot of fun and I’m excited to play more gigs!
